  • Mice in the rear end? Yikes. Mice pee on everything, so you may need to get some new bearings (and probably seals to keep the oil in too). First, I would vacuum as much mice stuff out as possible and then fill the transmission with fuel oil. I would then work the transmission until it turns free and disassemble it for cleaning. Oftentimes breakes stick on old tractors after years of sitting, so I would check this first.

  • I did and I got them to work freely again, so it seems to be the wheel bearing, which I believe is behind the cap opposite the hub. I discovered the mice when I took the brake covers off it's full of hay and crud and mice in there, they came pouring out the holes under the brakes, my dog had a great time chasing them as they dropped down
